Carol Harmer brings over four decades of trading excellence from the world’s most prestigious trading floors. Starting at The London International Futures Exchange (LIFFE) in 1982, she quickly became a strategic trader for JH Rayner, specializing in 30-year Bond markets.
Her exceptional performance led to opportunities at Midland Bank, where she traded the largest volumes on LIFFE, and later joined a technical trading startup that became the #1 money-making desk. This success opened doors to senior positions at Nomura Bank and Credit Suisse, where she spent six transformative years.
In 1996, Carol took the entrepreneurial leap, leasing her own LIFFE seat and managing 20 traders while developing the renowned CharmerCharts reports – using charts, at a time when few people were using technical analysis, to help her with her trading.
After advising traders in Gibraltar, she recognized the critical need for proper retail trader education and made it her mission to bridge the knowledge gap.
Carol produces an outstanding technical analysis advisory service on many markets to thousands of subscribers around the world including; Banks, Hedge Funds, Asset Management Firms as well as to Private and Retail Traders. In addition, Carol trains and mentors’ traders and continues to trade for herself.
